青森産りんご／Apple from Aomori
八戸のＮ嬢のお母様から、段ボール箱いっぱいの青森産りんごが、絞りたてアップルジュースと共に届きました。早速むいて食べたのですが…瑞々しくてシャキシャキしていて甘くて、まさに至福の味！お母様、いつも色々送っていただいてありがとうございます！
My girlfriend Ms. N’s mother sent us a box of apples with three bottles of fresh apple juice from Hachinohe, Aomori where too well-known for its apple. We tried one of them soon and really enjoyed it. It was fresh and crisp and tasted so sweet! Thanks mom!
だそうです（段ボール箱上の表記より）。家中で一番寒い場所（玄関の階段下）に置かせていただきます。 The letters on the box says “Keep cool these apples to keep them tasty”. I am sure to make it!

Tonight's my dinner with a bottle of this year's Beaujolais Noubeau that has been released since today
Of course I enjoyed it.
Ms. N’s mother sent us lots of mints with other vegetables those she grew at Hachinohe. So we picked the green leaves out and dried them to make mint tea. Those mints fill the room with its nice scent and the tea made from them is also smell good. It tastes really nice whether it is hot or cold. We can enjoy feeling cooled and refreshed by having the tea. Thanks Mom!
A vegetable goldfish for the memory of Yamimaru that we lost last year’s August
I made it from a small eggplant, celery leaves and two peaces of grape for this Bon season (Japanese dead people’s days). Now we still have two goldfish and one of them, Chatsun, had been in the same bawl until Yamimaru dead. I had him meet it.
The vegetable fish is going to be buried at the next to olive sapling as the tomb of Yamimaru.
Ｎ嬢のお母様が、趣味の畑で育てた野菜を送ってくれました。写真は莢いんげんとズッキーニ。昨夜、トマトやアスパラと一緒に、夏野菜のソテーになりました（ある意味母娘合作）。酒は“田村さんも騙された”「
The first picture is a sunflower with our gold fish on the table and next one is some kidney beans and zucchinis that Ms. N’s mother raised in Hachinohe, Aomori. Both shots show that the summer has come.
Ms. N sautéed the beans and zucchinis with other some summer vegetables such as tomato and asparagus last night, and we tried Sapporo Breweries’ new low-malt beer. It actually tasted like real beer. I like that.
Our portulaca that we planted in this May has grown and it is in bloom now. The flowers open in the morning and close before the dark every day. This morning it has had fourteen flowers for blooming the most at the same time.
Unfortunately, portulaca is an annual plant. I wish I could take its seeds for next year but I heard it would be really difficult.
It seems that it is also difficult for Consadole Sapporo to stay J1 next year. How about today’s game they met Vissel Kobe at the home, Atsubetsu Stadium. I wish the home team’s win to avoid being an annual plant of J1.
我が家の酒用冷蔵庫です。
北海道在住の方は“それが何か？”と思われるかもしれませんが、道外では、基本的にはサッポロクラシックは売っていません。通勤経路沿線の、とある駅のスーパーにて、「北海道味紀行」なるイベントが開催中であることを知ったＮ嬢が、２日にわたり途中下車して買い溜めてくれたものです。
今晩のガンバ大阪戦で、いよいよコンサドーレ札幌のＪ１リーグも再開します。色々期待材料もありますが、果たして旨い酒は飲めるでしょうか？
土日とも雨で湿った週末でした。梅雨ですね。
Ｎ嬢は毎年この季節に、梅酒を造ったり梅干を漬けたりします。梅酒は漬けて１年くらいで出来上がるので、去年作った分が今ちょうど飲み頃です。ここのところの毎晩の楽しみです。去年は黒糖焼酎（写真の瓶の大きい方）と泡盛（同じく小さい方）と２種類漬けました。どちらもおいしいですが、泡盛は非常にまろやかな味がします。
もちろん、今年の仕込みも着々と進んでおります…って、私は何もしないんですけどね、飲むだけで。
Every this season Ms. N makes ume liqueur (liqueur with plum) and now her last year’s works became tasty. We are enjoying drinking them to spend the nights of this rainy season.
Of course, she is also preparing for next year.
東急東横線沿線、大倉山にあるTOTSZEN BAKER’S KITCHEN（トツゼン・ベイカーズ・キッチン）のバゲットです。このお店とバゲットについては右のBRUTUSでも詳しく紹介されていますが、その中の“今、日本で最もおいしいバゲットを本場フランスでパンの権威に食べさせてみよう”という企画でも、東京５軒、関西２軒の“日本代表”に選ばれている一品。
上の写真のものは大倉山のお店ではなく、私がコーヒー豆を買っている白楽のTERA COFFEEで購入したものですが（オーナー同士が友人なので互いの店に互いの商品を置いているようです。その日も“BRUTUS、読みましたよ！”と声をかけたところ“これが例のバゲットです”と示されて即購入）、包装を開けて、まず香りの高さに驚きました。カットする時には更に。口にするとまず固さと弾力があって、次に漠然と濃厚な印象、そしてクチャクチャやっているうちにクラスト（皮）からもクラム（白い部分）からも、甘いとかしょっぱいとかを超えた色々なものがジュワーッと滲み出てくる感じで止まらなくなります。下の写真でスライスしてある方は軽くトーストしたものですが、こうするとまたガラッと違う味わい。食感が変わるのはもちろん、焼かれたことで初めて表に出て来る味とか風味といったものが確かにあって…もう素人にはこの描写が限界です、ゴメンナサイ。この日は挽いてもらったばかりのコーヒー（パプア・ニューギニア）と合わせましたが、ワインとも絶対合うはず。
このBRUTUSで特集されている、今フランスを中心に広まっている“個人の好き嫌いを超えて、パンの「おいしさ」を客観的に比較して論じる動き”というものには、そもそも“おいしさ”という“主観以外のなにものでもない”要素を“客観的”に数値化するという点に、少々の疑問と抵抗、もっと端的に言ってしまえば馬鹿げているような印象さえ感じなくもありません。もちろん、（ワインやコーヒーの格付けと同様）そういう明確な基準や評価があって初めて守られる味や製法、知識、生産者の権利があるというのも事実でしょうし、そうした高い品質を目指して日夜研鑽している職人の努力や技術を否定する気もないのですが…。まあ、不要かつ不毛に長くなる話なのでやめておきます。
ちなみにTOTSUZEN BAKER’S KICHENは今日５月２日から７日まで、東急百貨店 渋谷駅・東横店８階（催物場）にも出店するようです。機会があれば是非。ちなみにお薦めはチョココロネ。チョココロネに対する概念が変わるかも。
This is a picture of fantastic baguette made by TOTSUZEN BAKER'S KICHEN in Okurayama, Yokohama. When it comes out from paper wrap, the rich aroma strikes us and we get more while slicing it. And then, crisp crust and soft chewy crumb show us an amazing flavor of wheat and butter with its delightful touch in mouth. Only sweet or salty is not enough to describe the deep taste. The more we chew it, the more it comes.
We can also find it has another face by toasting it. Everything changes a little each but never get worse. This baguette goes good with coffee of course; however, a thick red wine can match more.
I found this baguette chosen as one of the best baguette in Japan by this magazine, BRUTUS, and they sent it with other excellent baguettes to Paris by air to ask two authorities of bread there to taste them. I had already known TOTSUZEN BAKER'S KICHEN but not tried baguette yet, so never missed next chance.
It is suspicious that a reputation or review on magazine such as about wine, coffee and bread can be true or convinced for all people all the time, especially, when it evaluates some subjective sense or feeling like how people taste or see them. Those impressions or preferences naturally never can be turned to the point or score. But actually, now it is a movement in the world of bread. Of course, it also works to protect or conserve the quality of taste and skill for those products and many producers and workers (bakers) can benefit from that so it is difficult to deny those books and movement all and shut them out.
However, at least we can meet something special like this baguette through those media and need not think about it to enjoy it. Just have fan!
日曜日はＮ嬢と二人で鶴見区にある
こちらも上の池ですが、公園内唯一の売店にて。来園者が与えるお菓子目当てのカモメが集まって来ているところです。桜とカモメ、取り合わせとしてはどうだろうと思わないでもないですが、横浜ならではと言えなくもないか…。
ちなみにカモメ以外にも沢山の鳥がいました。バードウォッチングにも良い場所なのかもしれません。
こちらは中の池。上の池の桜も華やかなのですが、個人的には中の池の桜が最も優美だったように思います。これが下の池まで行くと、同じような満開の桜でもぐっと落ち着いた感じになります。
この公園は敷地が広く、芝生やベンチも多いので、花見でなくともピクニック等に良い場所だと思います。しかし売店が一箇所しかなく、また園内にはゴミ箱がないため、基本的に“持って来て持ち帰る”形での利用が望まれているようです（屋台なども正門付近にはパラパラとありましたが、園内での営業は行っていませんでした）。
ただ、公共場所にゴミ箱がないというのはどうなのでしょう。まあ、管理上の手間や経費の問題もあって、備え付けたら備え付けたで大変なのかもしれませんが、それでも“捨てる場所がなければ持って帰るしかないだろうから、公園は汚れまい”という発想は、少し寂しいような気もします。一方で、そこまでされても平気で芝生にゴミを残していく者がいたり、近くの小学校か中学校で“花見のための駐車はしないで下さい”と書かれた立て札と、おそらく見張りの先生が立っている姿を目にしたりすると（つまり、そういうことをする人がいるということです）、どっちもどっちかなとも思うのですが…。ちなみに、実際は多くの人が（おそらく利用しなれた近所の人ほど）きちんとゴミを持ち帰っていました。
桜だけではなく、菜の花も咲いていました。
唯一残念だったのは、天気と気温。この日は遠足も兼ねて家と公園間を往復徒歩、片道２時間弱を歩いたのですが、ちっとも温かくなりませんでした。帰りは雨にまで降られましたし。ただ、道々、あちこちで桜が咲き誇っていまして、考えてみれば家の近所にも立派な桜の木は何本もありますし、毎日の通勤電車の窓から、あるいは職場の近くで、桜を目にしない日はないわけで、日本人は本当に桜が好きなのだなと改めて感じた日でした。
近所の岸根公園の桜です。やや早咲き。今朝、Ｎ嬢とジョギングをしている時に咲いているのを見つけ、“天気も良いし暖かいし、帰ったらおにぎりでも作ってランチをしに来ますか”ということになり、昼に再びやって来ました。お弁当とカメラとサッカーボール持参で。
おにぎりは王道を行く鮭と梅干。おかずはクミンシードで香り付けしたグリルドチキン。ドラフトワンでドラドンピシャ！という感じでした。
好天の日曜日ということもあり結構な人出で、芝生では様々な種類のボールがニアミスを起こし合っていました。隅っこでチマチマと蹴っていただけでしたが、楽しかったですよ。広いところで思い切りやりたいなあ（もちろん勝ち負けはどうでもいい類の草サッカーを）。
This is a picture of cherry blossom in Kishine Park near our house. Ms.N and I found it when we went jogging this morning. It is a little early for cherry blossoms bloom even here in Yokohama.
We went there again later to have our lunch and kick a soccer ball. There were so many people enjoying this warm sunny spring Sunday that we could not play really fully, however, we finally enjoyed it.
