雨と雷の止まない、蒸し暑い夜にサングリアです。 Sangria that Ms. N and I made for this humid rainy summer night hearing thunder 先週の日曜日も酷い雨でした。三ツ沢で横浜Ｆマリノスに０－１で惜敗、心身ともにずぶ濡れになってから早いものでもう１週間。その間、水曜日には、やはり雨の厚別でＧ大阪相手に３－３の引分け。随分と良いゲームだったようなので楽しみにしていた録画を、今日やっと観ました。 終始アグレッシヴかつ集中力を保っていて、素晴らしかったじゃないですか。ダヴィ、クライトン、アンデルソンのブラジリアンズ、そして柳下監督時代に戻ったかのような攻撃参加を見せた西嶋、文字どおり身体を張ったプレーでチームに喝を入れ続けた箕輪、少しだけ本来の自分の持ち味を思い出したかのような吹っ切れ具合を見せた藤田（個人的にはまだまだ不満。最後の失点に絡むミスは余計でしたが、速く気持ちを切り替えて、もっと吹っ切れてくれ）、そして誰よりも、後半、クライトンの退場後、Ｊ１のリーグ戦に始めて登場し、決して多くない時間で存分に輝きを見せた上里。クライトンが出場停止の次節、ボランチは芳賀と上里が良いと思っているファンは多いのではないでしょうか。 あのフリーキックは、リーグ戦にほとんど出ることのなかった昨季と今季を挟んで、ほぼスターティングメンバーだった２年前よりも精度が上がっていると思います。腐らず頑張っていたことが窺える。現在、札幌のプレースキックはクライトン一人に任せられていますが、それゆえに右からのコーナーキックはどうしてもゴールから離れていくボールになってしまい、残り時間が少なく勝負に出ている時など、とにかくゴールに向かっていくボールを入れたい時、もどかしく感じることもしばしばです。そんな時、上里がいれば…そう感じさせるプレーでした。また、あの舞台でプレーできる喜びのようなものが伝わって来ると言うか、生き生きと嬉しそうでもありました。そんな彼が、重圧や迷いで疲弊している部分もあるかのように見えるチーム内に、新しい風を送り込んでくれはしないかとも期待しています。 一人少なくなってなお最後まで得点の匂いを感じさせつつのドローでしたが、ガンバのような良いチーム相手にあそこまでやれたのは上出来。あの、ちょっと信じられないほどのルーカスのシュート外しっぷりに随分救われたのは事実で、３得点の代償が３失点では根本的な問題の解決にはなっていない気もしますし、依然崖っぷちにいることにも変わりはないのですが、ここはあえて前向きに捉えたい。次節までは少し間隔が開きますが、あの感覚を忘れず、身体は休めて、次こそ勝利を掴んで欲しいものです。頑張れ、札幌！ Last Sunday night was also heavy rain and we got soaked at NHK Spring Stadium where Yokohama F. Marinos, the home team, beat the visitor Consadole Sapporo by a score of 1-0. Sapporo also had drawn with Ganba Osaka by 3-3 for a midweek game at its holly home Atsubetsu Stadium in the rain too, and I watched the video today. It actually was nice close game. Sapporo’s three Brazilians, Davi, Claiton and Anderson who scored each worked really well. For defender, Nishijima and Minowa were good. Nishijima tried to help offence so many times the day and helped Davi’s goal. Minowa played hard with his physical strength and iron will. Left side’s speed star Fujita seemed to get confidence on his play a little, and the most excellent news for the night was Uesato’s coming back to the league games’ pitch after his one and a half year satellite days. Uesato appeared on the pitch in the 79th minute to replace Fujita as the last substitute for the game and kept shining with his clever accurate playing all the rest of the game. It seemed that he even enjoyed the pitch of J1. It was unfortunate for Sapporo that its key player Claiton had been eliminated from the game since the 58th minute by second yellow card. Consadole had gone ahead three times the day and Gamba had equalized it twice. Although Sapporo’s rest ten played aggressive and hard till the end, finally they failed three times. However, draw game against Gamba Osaka that is aiming for champion was enough for current Sapporo to show that they started changing at least for surviving. Claiton’s suspension might be good rest for him and Uesato must replace him next game. We can expect great things from it. Go, Consadole Sapporo!

今日は三ツ沢で横浜Ｆマリノス戦を観ます。一旦は晴れたものの今また降り出した雨が心配ですが、数少ない生観戦の機会、大崩れだけは避けて欲しいものです。 ３試合連続で１－２の負け、２試合連続で先制しながらの逆転負け、順位も遂に最下位にまで落ち込み、とうの昔に大崩れのコンサドーレ札幌ですが、まだ、シーズンは終わっていません。現実的に残留が難しくなっているのは確かですが、好きで応援しているチームです。今はまだ、嘆きと怒りの恨み節に終始するより、ただ目の前の勝利を願いたい。愛するチームの監督や選手を攻撃するより、信じて見守ってあげたいと思います。 彼らはプロです。何とか結果を出そうと色々考え、やっているはず。結果論であれこれ言うのは容易くとも、彼らよりサッカーを解っているファンなどそうそういないはず。彼らのプロ意識を否定するのであれば、“結果が出ていないのだから何を言われても仕方がない”という論理も成り立たない。言うだけ虚しい。 もちろん、どれだけ信じても見守っても裏切られる可能性も大ですが、それが何だ。いや、何だと言われれば出てくる問題は山のようにあるのですが、そのほとんどは、今言うには遅過ぎるか早過ぎるかのいずれかです（正直言うと個人的にはですね、ＨＦＣには色々不満も不信もたまっています）。それより今日を含めて残り13試合、ファンやサポーターの気持ちの中で、積極的に消化試合にしてしまってどうする、と思うのです。 というわけでしっかり観てきますよ。札幌相手に一息つけると思っているマリノスに、反対に一泡吹かせてやってもらいたいものです。Go! Consadole Sapporo! Today Consadole Sapporo will meet Yokohama F. Marinos at NHK Spring Mitsuzawa Football Stadium for an evening game that is expected to be raining. Last Sunday onsadole failed to keep its lead from Davi’s early scoring against Kyoto Sanga F.C. and lost it by a score of 1-2 in the end as same as two weeks ago, the match between Omiya Ardija. It made them expand the 1-2 losing streak to three games and now, Sapporo finally reached to the bottom of the J1, 18th place, where next season’s demotion is in their sight. It seems to be so hard for them to fight back and jump up from now for remaining the top league, however, this season has not finished yet and we still have 13 games including today’s one. For the fans, it is a little bit early to give up and drown in the sea of anger and depressing and now no one still do not have to give up. There is even small chance that they catch the second wind somewhere in the rest of the season. I still keep thinking that Miura’s tactics is right and I would like to stand for the players who must be straggling with many difficulties. For me, it is better than just looking face down and having sighs before the game. Show us the great game today. Go! Consadole Sapporo!

茄子とセロリと巨峰で作った出目金です。お盆ですし、昨年の丁度今頃、死なせてしまった出目金の闇丸を偲んで、胡瓜の馬や茄子の牛の代わりにと。 Ｎ嬢と私の我が家では、迎える霊もないからと、これまでお盆は何もしなかったのですが。帰って来るかなと思うと、何となく心が柔らかくなるような気もします。 もう一匹の茶っつんは、新しい相棒と一緒に元気です。闇丸を埋めた時、墓標替わりにと植えたオリーヴも元気。野菜の金魚も、その隣に埋める予定です。
A vegetable goldfish for the memory of Yamimaru that we lost last year’s August I made it from a small eggplant, celery leaves and two peaces of grape for this Bon season (Japanese dead people’s days). Now we still have two goldfish and one of them, Chatsun, had been in the same bawl until Yamimaru dead. I had him meet it. The vegetable fish is going to be buried at the next to olive sapling as the tomb of Yamimaru.

最初は良かったんですけれどねぇ。開始早々にアンデルソンの来日後初ゴールとなるＰＫ成功で先制。ただ、続く藤田のクロスに頭で綺麗に合わせて再びネットを揺らした場面がオフサイドと判定された辺りから、波があっさりと、あまりにも早く、大宮に移ってしまったように思います。藤田と砂川の縦へのスピードも、追い付かれて守備への意識が強まったからか、たちまち封印され、最終ラインも、デニス マルケス、藤本、小林大悟らの縦へのスピードに対応するのに手一杯、すると９分に、この日が初出場となる大宮の新外国人・ラフリッチに、これも当然日本での初ゴールとなる強烈な同点弾を決められてしまいます。 このラフリッチ、空中戦で箕輪が頭ひとつ負ける高さと強靭なフィジカル、攻守を選ばぬ献身的なプレーが印象的な実に素晴らしい選手です。大宮は良い補強をしました。この試合、もうラフリッチに負けたと言ってもいいくらい（ああいう長身で骨太の選手、ウチにこそ欲しいです。東欧の選手も良いですね。金銭的には難しいのでしょうか）。対して札幌は、やはりダヴィの不在が大き過ぎた。全員で守ってリスクを減らすことを第一とする札幌のサッカーにおいて、やはり個の力で前線を支え、得点まで持っていける彼の力は不可欠であることが、今回、改めて明確になったと言えるでしょう。 札幌も出来得る範囲で悪くない試合をしたとは思います。しかし、スピードと個々のスキルで、やや大宮が上回っていました。決勝点となったデニス マルケスのＰＫ、彼を後ろから止めてしまった西澤は仕方ないと思いますよ。あそこで抜かれていたら（優也の勝負強さと強運をもってしても）普通は１点だと考えるでしょう。むしろ、一度はＰＫを弾き返した優也のファインセーブがもったいなかった。キックと同時に誰かゴールに向かって走り出してればなあと、まあ、結果論なんですが、思わずにはいられませんでした。 ジェフが何とアントラーズを下し、マリノスもガンバに勝ったため、下には追い付かれ、上には離され、現実的にかなり苦しくなったコンサですが、チームができることは、これも現実的にそう多くはないと思います。個人的には、三浦監督と今までやって来たサッカーを信じて、最後まで残留を目指して頑張って欲しい。Go Consadole Sapporo! Saturday in the summer holidays, Consadole Sapporo met Omiya Ardija at Atsubetsu Stadium and lost the game by a score of 1-2. Sapporo started it nicely with Anderson’s scoring from penalty kick in the third minute. Only five minutes later Anderson’s header to Fujita’s cross reached to Omiya’s goal net again but it was judged to be offside and that might have turned the tide. First the game was for Sapporo. It seemed that Fujita and Sunakawa worked well with their speeds but once Omiya equalized it with its new comer from Slovenia, Lavric’s goal in the 9th minute, they stopped trying on offence slowly. Lavric worked excellently with his height and physical strength wherever he was, conversely, for Sapporo, Davi’s suspension was more than difficulty. The game was even over all. Both team played hard but Omiya exceeded Sapporo a little on the speed and each players’ skill, and then, the 56th minute’s penalty kick for Omiya that Denis Marques pushed it in after once goal keeper Sato blocked finished the game. Consadole failed in extending its loose less streak at the holy home Atsubetsu and stayed in the second last place with Jef United. Everyone knows now it got much hard for them to remain in J1, however, the only thing they can do and they have to do is playing tough and hard with trust in their coach Miura and his plan. 毎日毎日暑くて、すっかり夏といった感じです。夏バテ防止のためにも必要以上に水分を取ることは避けているつもりですが、熱中症になってもバカみたいだしな、と、この週末は結局は水っ腹になっています。暑いことで良い点のひとつは、ビールが旨いことでもありますし。
Ｎ嬢のお母様が、趣味の畑で育てた野菜を送ってくれました。写真は莢いんげんとズッキーニ。昨夜、トマトやアスパラと一緒に、夏野菜のソテーになりました（ある意味母娘合作）。酒は“田村さんも騙された”「麦とホップ」。スッキリした飲み心地が私は好きですが、Ｎ嬢いわく、「私は騙されない」とのこと。 二人の退場者を出しながら引き分けた前節、監督の采配と選手の頑張りに痺れた神戸戦から、早一週間、今日は新潟戦です。前回の対戦を思うとダヴィの奮起に期待したいところ。頼むぜ、ダヴィ！
The first picture is a sunflower with our gold fish on the table and next one is some kidney beans and zucchinis that Ms. N’s mother raised in Hachinohe, Aomori. Both shots show that the summer has come. Ms. N sautéed the beans and zucchinis with other some summer vegetables such as tomato and asparagus last night, and we tried Sapporo Breweries’ new low-malt beer. It actually tasted like real beer. I like that.

わが家のポーチュラカです。可愛いでしょう。 ５月の連休に買って来て植えた時は土に馴染むかどうか心配でしたが、その後しっかり根を張り、葉も増やし、今、毎日花を咲かせています。 花は日中開き（朝顔などと比べると、かなり寝坊です）夕方にはしぼんでしまうのですが、次の日にはまた咲きます。今朝は14個咲いています。過去最多。残念なのは１年草であること。種が穫れて（難しいらしいです）、また来年も育てられればいいのですが。 さて、“強いとは言えないけれど、そう簡単に負けない雰囲気も漂い始めた”我らがコンサドーレ、今日の神戸戦はどうでしょうか？今季最多得点、今季初の4試合連続勝ち点獲得、今季初の３試合連続無失点、どれも狙って欲しいところです。 “1年草”で終わらないためにも。Our portulaca that we planted in this May has grown and it is in bloom now. The flowers open in the morning and close before the dark every day. This morning it has had fourteen flowers for blooming the most at the same time. Unfortunately, portulaca is an annual plant. I wish I could take its seeds for next year but I heard it would be really difficult. It seems that it is also difficult for Consadole Sapporo to stay J1 next year. How about today’s game they met Vissel Kobe at the home, Atsubetsu Stadium. I wish the home team’s win to avoid being an annual plant of J1.

今日の横浜は暑かったです。皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。早いもので、また１週間経ってしまいました。パソコンに向かわない日が続いています。 さて、勝てそうで勝てなかった前節清水戦は、三浦監督の采配と選手起用がバッチリ当たった試合でした。中山はサイドハーフとして本職以上の頑張りを見せ、途中出場の池内はこちらも持ち味である得点感覚を期待通りに発揮、１－２で逃げ切りたい清水をピッチに引き戻し、聖地厚別での敗戦を逃れるのに貢献しました。最終ラインも、西澤と池内が並んでから、安定感を増したように思います（清水が攻め疲れた感もありましたが）。 ここから言えるのは、やはり今の札幌には、組織的に慎重に守って一瞬の隙を突く戦法が合っているのではないかということ。幸い、トップで張るダヴィはキレています。後は、守りに守ってボールを自分たちのものにした時に、もっと全部がいっぺんに動き出せば、見る側としても楽しいかなとは思うのですが…。多くは望みません。 その時、気になるのがクライトンの動き。個人的には、最初の失点はどうもクライトンがいけなかったような気がします。今の札幌でクライトンにケチをつけることは事実上タブーなのかもしれませんが、三浦札幌のサッカー＝ゾーンディフェンスに徹することができないのであれば、クライトンであっても外すことがあっても良いのかもしれません。そういう意味では、明日の千葉戦、クライトンの出場停止も面白いと言えるかも。 もちろん、今のウチが積極的にクライトン抜きで戦うなど、まったく現実的ではありませんから、できれば彼には監督と仲良くやって欲しい。いずれにしろ明日の試合は、どちらが当面の最下位になるかを決める大事な一戦。頑張ってくれ、札幌！ Last Sunday, Consadole Sapporo drew with Shimizu S-pulse by a score of 2-2 at its sacred home, Atsubetsu Stadium. On the game, coach Miura’s tactics and using his players worked really well. Nakayama played almost the best as a midfielder on the right side and a substitute Ikeuchi scored from Claiton’s corner kick to equalize the 1-2 game and saved the team. It is necessary for Sapporo that all players work organized and carefully especially on defence finally. They could avoid losing two goals in the fist half if they would have played more organized with their rule, zone defence. But when it comes to that, Claiton’s suspension can be good for this Sunday’s game against Jef United Ichihara Chiba that will decide which is in the last place of J1 league when it is over. 美酒を味わえなかった前節から、早くも１週間が経とうとしております。今日はもう厚別での清水戦。 中断期間明けの前節は、優勝候補の一角、Ｇ大阪に、終わってみれば４－２の完敗。しかし、開幕の鹿島戦同様、相手が悪かった感もあり、新戦力のアンデルソンと箕輪を中心に光明の見える試合でもありました。 ただ、その光が、果たして三浦札幌の目指すサッカーに続いていたのかどうか。それは新たな不安でさえあります。システマティックで組織的なプレー、その上で機能する個の輝きでなければ、三浦札幌においては諸刃の剣となりかねない。 もちろん、理論や信念、好みにこだわってばかりもいられない現実があります。個人的には、降格を恐れるあまりグダグダに迷走してしまうくらいなら、何を言われようと開き直って監督のサッカーを（それを信じられる選手と共に）追求した方が良いような気もするのですが…（最終的にはそれが残留への近道のようにも思います）。 いずれにしろ、色々な意味で注目の今日の試合です。 Consadole Sapporo met Gamba Osaka last Sanday at rainy Banpaku Memorial Stadium for the first game after seven week intermission of J1 league for the World Cup’s trials and Gamba beat Consadole by a score of 4-2. Although it was totally Gamba’s game and 4-2 losing was a little disappointed for Consadole fans, it seemed Sapporo had been getting better with its new comers, Anderson and Minowa. Both two players worked well. However, changing their soccer for these two players or another new key player, Claiton, instead of looking back to keep going on what they had done and firm it can be new risk even though they need to avoid the demotion. For Sapporo’s coach Miura’s tactics, the most important and essential thing might be all his players are playing systematically and organized and carefully on defence as hard as they can. So we can see which they had taken on today’s game against Shimizu S-pulse at their home, Atsubetsu Stadium.

我が家の酒用冷蔵庫です。 北海道在住の方は“それが何か？”と思われるかもしれませんが、道外では、基本的にはサッポロクラシックは売っていません。通勤経路沿線の、とある駅のスーパーにて、「北海道味紀行」なるイベントが開催中であることを知ったＮ嬢が、２日にわたり途中下車して買い溜めてくれたものです。 今晩のガンバ大阪戦で、いよいよコンサドーレ札幌のＪ１リーグも再開します。色々期待材料もありますが、果たして旨い酒は飲めるでしょうか？
Now Sapporo Classic fills our small fridge for alcohol. The beer is produced for supporting Consadole Sapporo and usually sold in only Hokkaido. But this time Ms. N who found a supermarket on our committing line had sold it for a kind of Hokkaido Fair bought them in. And today, J1 league starts again after the break for the World Cup trial. I wish I have a great drink with it!

土日とも雨で湿った週末でした。梅雨ですね。 Ｎ嬢は毎年この季節に、梅酒を造ったり梅干を漬けたりします。梅酒は漬けて１年くらいで出来上がるので、去年作った分が今ちょうど飲み頃です。ここのところの毎晩の楽しみです。去年は黒糖焼酎（写真の瓶の大きい方）と泡盛（同じく小さい方）と２種類漬けました。どちらもおいしいですが、泡盛は非常にまろやかな味がします。 もちろん、今年の仕込みも着々と進んでおります…って、私は何もしないんですけどね、飲むだけで。
Every this season Ms. N makes ume liqueur (liqueur with plum) and now her last year’s works became tasty. We are enjoying drinking them to spend the nights of this rainy season. Of course, she is also preparing for next year.

甘くないイチゴは、鉄鍋に放り込んで、 たちまち瓶詰めのジャムにしてしまう貴女が、 二人の辛さや苦しさも全部、 甘く変えてしまえればいいのに、 と思う。
I wish you could turn all bitter and hard parts of our life to sweet. Just like you simply make a jam from not sweet strawberries.
鉄鍋ジャム レシピ 苺：1/2～2/3パック レモン輪切り２枚 グラニュー糖：大さじ３杯くらい（目分量） 水：苺が浸るくらい 以上を鉄鍋に入れて30分ほどコトコト煮る（苺の粒を残したくなければ更に）。 ごく普通の苺で作っても、鉄の色でブラックベリーのようになります。

アフリカン・フェア 2008 カメルーン共和国のブースにて（向かって左端の男性の筋肉の美しさは、ただごとではありませんでした…。ちなみに壁に飾られているのは、日本でも有名なサッカー選手、エンボマの写真）
もう先週の話になってしまいますが、前日の雨が嘘のように晴れ上がり、気温も高かった日曜日、Ｎ嬢、彼女の従妹のＡｋｉちゃん、そして私の３人で、パシフィコ横浜で開催中のアフリカン・フェア2008に行って来ました。昼頃に出かけたのですが、最終日ということもあって、みなとみらいの駅から会場まで既に物凄い人波ができていて少々気圧されもしたのですが、熱気と美と知的な刺激に溢れた、行って正解の楽しいイベントでした。 アフリカ大陸から参加の40カ国がそれぞれ自国の名産品や観光・投資情報を紹介する「国別展示コーナー」の他、彼の地での日本企業の取り組みを紹介する「日本企業コーナー」、主催のジェトロ（日本貿易振興機構）による「アフリカビジネス創出支援コーナー」、ステージで行われる様々なショーや音楽ライブ、アフリカ料理のフードコートなど、広く深く楽しめる内容のものでしたが、やはりメインはアフリカ各国のブース巡り。見ているだけで楽しいと言うか、ホール内を満たす、あの独特の空気、具体的にはネイティブの人達の肌の色も含めた色彩や物の形、匂い、言葉や音楽のリズム、そうした異国の雰囲気に飲まれて浮遊している感じが心地好かったです。 Sunday, Ms. N, her cousin Aki and I went to Pacifico Yokohama to see African Fair 2008 that had been held by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) as a part of this TICAD Ⅳ (Tokyo International Conference on African Development Ⅳ) in Yokohama. There were 40 African countries booths in the large hall and they were giving much information about their country and products to search or offer and create new market in trading with Japan. Some of those products were for sale so we also could enjoy shopping. Some booths were inviting people to tasting their coffees or wines, and others were playing their drums. There was an African food court in the hall and some concerts on the stage too, so we really enjoyed the last day of the event with the hot colorful aromatic lively energetic atmosphere and African rhythm!
華やかさと賑やかさで一際目を引いていたケニア共和国のブース。 バラはケニアの主要な対日輸出品目。ここでも凄い人気で、私達が到着した時には既に午前の分を売り切っていて、午後の分も到着した端から売れていました。 At the booth of Republic of Kenya, their roses were on demand. Now Kenyan rose is very popular here in Japan. Beautiful flours went really soon.
スーダン共和国のブースにて。瓢箪に描かれた野生動物達、コバルトブルーの魚、鮮やかに赤い円座、ハイビスカスティー。これはアフリカだと、何故か納得させられ満足させられてしまう、この凝縮と組み合わせの妙、こういうものの連続なわけです。 The display of the booth of The Republic of the Sudan A gourd that African wild lives are described on, a picture of cobalt blue fish, a vivid red cushion, and a rose red box of tea bags looked like really Africa.
コンゴ民主共和国のブースにて。この木の皮だか根だかを大魚に見立てた壁飾りなんかもう、反則ものの存在感と格好良さでしたよ。 The large fish shaped bark or root on the wall of the booth of Democratic Republic of the Congo was really attractive. We also could see some unbelievably large dried pods of peas. Those are used as rattling instruments.
同じくコンゴ民主共和国。大きい方で80センチメートルくらいあるのですが、明らかに豆の莢です。振ると中の豆がカラカラと音を立てます。楽器として使うようです。 ところで、コンゴ民主共和国はコンゴ共和国とは別の国なのですが御存知でしたか？コンゴ民主共和国の方はまだ日本との経済関係がありません。このフェアは、こうした国が新たなビジネスやマーケットを開拓するためのものでもあるわけです。以前紹介したアフリカン・フェスティバルが、アフリカの文化を紹介し地域として抱える社会問題を訴える意味合いが強かったのに対し、こちらの中心（あるいはゴール）にあるのは国際貿易と経済活動なのです。

ボツワナ共和国のブースにて。ダチョウの卵にツチブタを描いた民芸品がキュート。 しかし、私が同国に対して抱いたそんなキュートな印象とは別に、（これも帰宅後ガイドブックを読んで知ったことですが）ボツワナはダイヤモンドの生産量が世界１位であり、その経済状況は欧州やアジアの多くの国々を上回るものなのだそうです。驚きの連続（ちなみに日本は世界２位のダイヤモンド市場で、これにより２国は強い経済関係をもっているそうです）。 An ostrich’s egg that an aardvark was painted on at the booth of Republic of Botswana Botswana products the most diamonds and Japan is the second largest diamond market in the world. So these two countries have a good economic relationship.
踊るカメルーン民主共和国。生命力と情熱が爆発するかのようなダンスが終りがないかのように続き、熱狂が人だかりに伝播します。物凄いエナジーでした。 We could see a great dance at the booth of Republic of Cameroon. It was so lively and active that I thought of African squall full of energy of life.
踊り終えたカメルーン女性。素敵な笑顔です。 カメルーンには公用語のフランス語と英語の他に280（！）もの言語があるそうです。ちなみに帰宅後調べたところ、アフリカの国々の公用語は、フランス語、英語、アラビア語、スワヒリ語を中心に、ポルトガル語やイタリア語、スペイン語が話される場合もあり、その他もともとの地域や部族の言葉も混ざって結構バラバラな感じです。面白いとも思えますが、その背景に植民地としての歴史があることを考えると、人の行いの暗黒面に複雑な気持ちにならざるを得ません。 A Cameroonian girl smiling after dance In Cameroon, 280 languages are spoken besides French and English. In many African countries usually people speak several or more languages such as French, English, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian and other native languages. It can be interesting but when it comes to why most of them designated French or English as official language, it actually can be a negative heritage of its colonial period.

個人的にはこういう感じの方が好きです。ガーナ共和国のブースにて、ジャンベの実演も兼ねた（？）ミニコンサート。 Three Ghanaians plays drums in their booth. I preferred it to the concert on the stage.

モロッコ共和国のブースにて。箱いっぱいの小さなアンモナイトの化石が売られていました。 They were selling small fossil ammonites filling a box at the booth of Kingdom of Morocco.
マラウイ共和国のブースにて。小さな袋で売られている様々な豆。話すのも聞くのも、ここが一番、英語が使えました。豆の説明を色々受けて、数種類購入。 Variety of beans from Republic of Malawi We got some of them for home.
ザンビア共和国のブースにて。木彫りのキリンとビール。 Wood giraffes and beers at the booth of Republic of Zambia Some booths had their beers only for display. Those bottles or labels were nice looking and they needed not to pay custom when they did not sell them.
ビールやワインを置いているブースは多かったのですが、“買えるのですか？”と訊くと“Display only.”と返って来るところがほとんど。ワインが有名な南アフリカ共和国などは別として、多くの国の主たる目的はこの場での小さな売上げではなく、ビジネスのための情報公開ですから、関税が高い酒類は外国貨物のまま展示していたのでしょう（展示期間が終わればそのまま積み戻す。関税は払わずに済みます）。
ジェトロによる、シアバター石鹸の紹介コーナー。 ガーナの女性による、シアバター石鹸作りの実演があったようです。シアの実（仁）を潰し、ローストし、すり潰し、練り、煮詰め、濾して固めて作られるシアバター（次の写真）。
チョコレートのような甘い香りと滑らかな手触り。写真のように作る過程では色もチョコレートのようなのですが、最終的には綺麗な乳白色のクリームになります（次の写真）。カラバッシュという瓢箪で作ったボウル（一番下の写真）に入れて売られるのがガーナの伝統的なスタイルなのだそうです。
肌の保湿や日焼けあとのケアにも良いと聞き、手の甲に塗ってみると染み込むように馴染みます。これで作った石鹸なら身体にも良さそうだと早速購入しようとしたところ、残念ながらここも一般への販売はなし。結局思ったよりはお金を落とさずに帰って来たのですが、（後から調べた分も含めて）とにかく色々勉強になった一日でした。JICA（国際協力機構）やNPOの活動とその成果などについても知りましたし。今後はアフリカに、今までより少しだけ具体的な興味を持って、目を向けていこうかと思っています。
Ghanaian sheabutter is made from shea beans by mashing, roasting, boiling, straining it to take oil and giving it solid. The natural vegetable butter is nice and kind to the skin and they also make soap from that. We wanted to buy that but could not because it was just a presentation on the butter business by JETRO. We learned more about African countries and the things around that there and after getting home through the internet. Now I am a little more interested in those countries.
