日本ハムの２００８キャンプスタート!
As in the last years, Fighters are in Nago for do the camp for 2008 season.
This season the BIG expectation is the rookie Nakata Sho.
I’ve been reading that He could hit about 140 meters hit yesterday in Nago.
That, for a rookie seems really amazing.I' ve read that Kiyohara’s hit when was rookie was 120 and Hideki Matsui’s 130m.. XD and they are stars on Japanese baseball actually or in the last years(in the case of Kiyohara, that he's veteran yet).
I’ve seen some videos on Youtube of last year when he played in high school and He really seems amazing, He have a very powerful hit.
I’m sure he will be a star, the new star of Fighters.
I hope we can see him soon or from start in "Ichi-gun".
Sledge too is a news in the camp. Seems that can be a good player. He have experience on MLB. About 25 HR in his career.
He said he want to do a more than .300 of avg, 30 HR and 80 RBI.
I think He will play in 4th position in batting lineup replacing Seguignol (Was a pity that the club decided don't make a new contract.. I liked Seguingol's play).
So,Keizo Kawashima started also yesterday the camp with Swallows.
I hope he can show his play to the coachs and managers and he shows this season his play in Jingu Stadium.

さよならとありがとう川島さん！
I read it yesterday but today was official and was sad news for me. Nippon-Ham decided to trade 3 players for 3 players with Yakult and 1 of them was Kawashima...
I think they did this trade for get Fujii because is a interesting player.
I don't know if they did the good decision trading this players for Fujii(the other 2 aren't better that the 3 players of fighters traded i think). I think the 3 players can help fighters, Hashimoto is a good pitcher and Oshimoto also for relieve, and Kawashima this season wanted to fight with Kensuke for 2nd base so stay in 1st team seemed possible but... the club decided it..
Maybe last season wasn't good for Kawashima, but he had some injuries during the seson and hillman didn't give him so much confidence.. then.. was difficult show something..
But I think that maybe for him is a good change, because there sure is easier get oportunities because in fighters seemed hard..
Morimoto and Inaba are fixes for outfield and now signed Nakata Sho who seems will be a future star and for same place he also had to fight vs Konta,Kudoh..
For 2nd base is also difficult because Tanaka Kensuke is so regular player and important for defence..
Anyway, is a bad news because I like his play and I won't enjoy his play with my Nippon-Ham anymore, but I'll must get used to watch him with Swallows.. then the next summer ,I plan to go to japan 2 months again to Tokyo, and then sure I'll visit Jingu stadium again sometimes (I hope he stays in 1-gun) for watch his play.

日本シリーズ２００７ 第5戦 中日1 北海道日本ハム 0, It's over :S
Today with Darvish pitching and doing a great pitching, only 1 run and 11 strike outs, but wasn't possible to win and Dragons won the Nippon Series after 53 years without win it.
おめでとう中日ドラゴンズ.
Attack today have a 0, NO HITS. No comments.. XD
Well.. anyway I think that we must be happy, because the team isn't great and we won the 4th Pacific League.
We must be proud of our team.
Thanks Hillman for this great seasons.
I hope that since next season with Nashida we can repeat this again.
I hope the club reinforces the team in attack. The new rookie , Nakata, seems that will be a great reinforcement. I hope he can be our new star. We need a star. Well we have start in pitching, Darvish, but we need one in attack too, a player that can decide matches as Ogasawara did before.
And THANKS to the players , for win the Pacific League again and try to win again the Nippon Series. Anyway without win the nippon series this season I think that this 2 last season have been amazing.

日本シリーズ２００７ 第4戦 中日4 北海道日本ハム 2
Today Fighters losed again. Today's starting pitcher were Yoshikawa and Ogasawara for Dragons.
Yoshikawa replaced Glynn the last Sunday in the 3rd inning but did a bad participation. After 2 four balls Hillman replaced him.
Today the rookie did a bad start in the 1st inning, Dragons did 2 runs, but after that did a good match until the 5th inning. when Dragons did a run.
In attack again Kudoh played very well. In the 4th inning Kudoh did a hit and Kaneko did a 2 base timely hit.
In the 5th Seguignol did a hit, four ball to Koyano, again Kudoh did a hit and Kaneko with a four ball got the 2-2 and the draw but as I said in the 5th Dragons again got a run.
In the 7th with Takeda pitching they did another run ,4-2 the final result.
Now the situation is really difficult... 3-1.
At Nagoya get a good victory now is hard because they have the help of fans and our attack don't have power , and pitching lately isn't good too...
I hope that Darvish plays tomorrow. I trust on him. I think he's the best pitcher in japan now (He won the Sawamura award, but not only for this) and he can give to us the 2nd victory and the hope for we arrive to Sapporo alive. Then there with the help of fans we have to try to win again.

日本シリーズ２００７ 第3戦 中日9 北海道日本ハム 1
Again a big defeat. Today starting pitcher was finally Takeda. In the 1st inning he was knocked out for Dragons attack, 5 runs (1 out). Hillman changed him for Sweaney but Sweaney was knock out too (2 runs) and Tateyama replaced him.
In the 2nd inning and with a 7-0 was impossible yet, anyway fighters tryed to get runs and with a 2 base hit of Seguignol and a 2 base hit of Kudoh fighters got a run.
But in the bottom of this inning, Tateyama was knock out too and dragons got 2 runs more, 9-1. With 9-1 was obvious that was impossible XD thinking that Dragons have a great defence and fighters a bad attack.
I say again that the only way for Fighters win this series is doing a great defence because the attack is bad, only seguignol and a bit kudoh and Morimoto are doing a good job in attack.
Anyway let's support together until the end.
Tomorrow we must equalize de series!

The last sunday was played the 2nd match of the Nippon Series.
As was normal, Glynn was the starting pitcher. But his pitching was bad the last sunday and in the 4th inning, Dragons were winning 3-0 yet. In the bottom of the 4th, Seguignol with a HR gave a run to fighters but the last sunday pitching was bad (dragons did a good match also) and batting was again bad (only 4 hits in the match, 5 in 2 matches is really a bad number..) then was impossible win.
I think that they key for that fighters win the nippon series win is that the pitching works good.. because i don't believe so much in the attack.
With the match losed I would like to see more the bench players, as for example Kawashima,Kaneko Yohei,Yoh,etc.
Kawashima had a chance in the 9th inning but Takahashi did to him a dead ball in the 1st throw :S Was a pity, was a good chance with mans in 2nd and 3rd base. I hope see his play more but seems difficult now that Kudoh is playing good and Hillman don't do so much changes in the batting lineup.
Tomorrow the normal is that Sweaney will be the starting pitching. I hope fighters get a win again.

日本シリーズ２００７ 第1戦 北海道日本ハム 3 中日1
Today was played the 1st match of the 2007 Nippon Series at Sapporo Dome.
Starting Pitchers were of course Darvish for Fighters and Kawakami for Dragons.
Starting members for Fighters were: (CF)Morimoto, (2B)Tanaka, (RF)Inaba, (DH)Seguignol,(LF)Kudoh, (3B)Koyano,(1B)Inada ,(SS)Kaneko , (C)Tsuruoka.
The first inning was great key today. Kawkami did 4 balls to Morimoto , Tanaka did a bunt for that Morimoto advance to 2nd base and again 4 balls to Inaba. With Morimoto at 2nd and Inaba at 1st, Seguignol with 2 strikes did a perfect Home run and gave 3 runs to Fighters.
After that Darvish as always did a great pitching althought in the 6th inning Dragons did a run.
Today Darvish did good match, 13 strikes out, a very good number.
But batting was so bad. Only 2 hits. The Home run of Seguignol and a hit in the 8th inning of Kaneko.
Tomorrow I think Glynn will be the starting pitcher. I'll be able to watch the match.
I hope that tomorrow Fighters get the 2nd consecutive victory and then, They'll go to Nagoya more relaxed.

日本ハム 2007 Climax Series PA Champions! ２年連続日本シリーズ進出！
All about this is like a dream.
I don't know why XD but at 2003 I've decided to choose Nippon-Ham as my favourite baseball team. Maybe I liked "Nippon-Ham" XD because when I started to follow Nippon Ham arround 2003 they were a poor team with a poor history, but that didn't care to me.
Soon I knew that them was going to move to Sapporo. That was a really good news for me. New uniform, new franchise were better than before and the most important was that the team was going to have a new HOME, Sapporo Dome, a new IDENTITY, Hokkaido and new DREAMS, as said the club's slogan in 2004.
I think that's the key of the transformation.
I think that this have helped the players a lot for win both championships.
Have a stadium as Sapporo Dome full and with a great fans in the important moments isn't possible for everybody. As Hillman said today, I think that without fan's help the season would had finished before.. because, the team isn't very good in attack, well.. is the worst attack of pacific league but in defence is amazing.
Darvish, Takeda Hisashi, Glynn, Micheal,Yoshikawa,Takeda Masaru,Kinoshita, etc.. Fighters have a great pitching staff and also have players as Kaneko or Tanaka in infield, that are very good in defence, same that Morimoto, Inaba and now Kudoh (I don't like him so much but he's is playing very good lately, Hillman is doing good using him) in outfield.
I've could enjoy about some matches of this Pacific League Climax Series.
So, I've not talked about it, but when I staid in Tokyo this summer, I watched a game of Fighters vs Marines in Chiba. Feelings were strange haha but was a very nice experience. Feelings watching Fighters were great but feelings watching Consadole were better, more as at home. I don't know how to explain it, but I was very very comfortable with Consadole fans.
About today's match, of course I saw today's match. Today's starting pitcher was Darvish. At first inning started a bit bad but until 7th inning his pitching was great as always, he's the best pitcher in japan now.
Seguignol was so good in the 3runHR at 3rd was amazing. With 2 strikes and 3 balls was a difficult moment but, he batted the ball so good. AMAZING!
After that was done , the Championship was for Nippon-Ham.
Naruse's was knock out and in 4th inning with the 2 base hit of Tsuruoka, the result was 0-4. In the 5th inning , Kobayashi Hiroyuki were knock out by Fighter's attack. With Kudoh and Koyano's timely hits the result was 6-0.
After that Marines tried to overcome the result but was impossible for them.
In the 7th inning Glynn replaced Darvish after a run of Marines and in the 9th inning Micheal closed the match and the Fighters are the PA Climax Series 2007 Championships and will play 2007 Nippon Series.
We don't know the rival. A match vs Giants would be nice at Tokyo Dome for the old fans, but I want that Dragons win this series. I have some friends in Nagoya that are Dragons fans and then I want they be happy and then I want their team win the CL Climax Series.
Let's be the best of Japan again!!! 北海道日本ハム一番です！！
So the match vs Fukuoka is soon!!
I've heard Okamoto will play in FW with Nakayama for Davi's suspension and Nishitani won't be ready for this match, then Sunakawa will play again in his place.
This saturday we only can think in win.

プロ野球 日本ハム 5 ロッテ 4
Today a victory Again. Yesterday thanks to the excellent pitching of Darvish was possible to win with only a 2 run HR of Inaba.
But today was more difficult because Sweaney 's pitching was bad and Marines could get 4 runs with a wild pitching of Sweaney, a 2 run HR of Horii and a solo HR of Satozaki.
After that Fighters had to overcome the result and finally was possible.
Jones did a 2 base hit (4-3), Kudo didn't hit but drawed the match and Koyano did a Sayonara HR in the 10th Inning.
Tomorrow Glynn vs Shimizu. I hope a win tomorrow for get a distance of 2.5.

プロ野球 日本ハム 6 横浜 6 川島一軍！！ ５時間53分ドロー
Today finally Kawashima returned to 1st team!
He was injured in the spring camp in right shoulder. He seems was recovered at the beginning of April but he injured again at the beggining of may and he was recovering of his injure until last weeks. He was recovered a weeks ago and played again last 3th June and some matches more with 2nd team. He played some good match and did a HR. Today Hillman , after see that his condition was good again , decided to call him and that Yoh returns to 2nd team (I think he should stay in 1st team.. Yoh is a good player)
He returned and played today in the starting members at 7th as left fielder.
A really long match today! 5 hours 53 minutes. Today I've seen a lot of the the match but was impossible watch all the match XD Very long!
Batting was good today , 14 hits and 6 runs. Takahashi Shinji and Inaba with 3 hits both played so good. Good news because lately batting was bad. By the way, I've heard fighters wants to sign a american player called Mitch Jones. If he have powerful hit , will be good news, because I've watched a lot of matches and I think the team needs more batters with powerful hit.
Today that finally batting was good, the pitching wasn't as good as always. The pitching of Yoshikawa was good until the 6th inning, but he started to do 4 balls to batters. Oshimoto replaced him and was worse 4-3. Ejiri 1 run and Takeda Hisashi (lately isn't in a good condition, that's bad news, we needs him because he's a great long reliever) with the match 6-5 for fighters another run and draw.
In the extra innings, Konta in 10th inning had a good chance ,with Sunaga(as pinch runner) at 3rd and Hichori at 2nd, but he couldn't hit.
Kawashima did his 1st hit of the season with 1st team. I hope Hillman continue giving confidence to him. He needs it for improve. I think he can be a good player.
